This quick post is in response to a comment on my iPad syncing post by Jay Reidler. \u00a0I put this one together for those who are interested in connecting their Apple latops\/desktops directly to the HMS file server.<\/p>\n

Step 1: \u00a0In the Finder, click Connect to Server…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Finder<\/a>Step 2: \u00a0Type in the HMS File Server address<\/strong><\/p>\n

Type in smb:\/\/home.files.med.harvard.edu\/home<\/span>. Click Connect<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Type in your eCommons credentials<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two windows will open. \u00a0First, the Finder Connecting to Server window will show, followed by the authentication window.<\/p>\n

Finder will open a new window with the files on the HMS File Share.<\/p>\n
